Payment transaction information: Payments made to BIU are processed through third-party payment service providers. BIU does not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or other financial instrument details. We receive only limited information necessary to confirm and record the transaction, such as the payer’s name, payment amount, date, and confirmation of successful payment.

2. How Does BIU Use My Information?

BIU may use your collected information for any and all of the following.

• Provide, Improve, and Develop BIU’s Site: We process this information given our legitimate interest in improving our Site and your experience with it.

Payment Information:  Payments made to BIU are processed through third-party payment service providers, such as Intuit QuickBooks. BIU does not process or store your payment card details or other financial instrument information. We process only the limited payment-related information necessary to:

• – Confirm and record the payment transaction.
• – Maintain accurate billing and accounting records.
• – Fulfill our contractual obligations with you.
• – Comply with applicable financial and tax regulations.

Any fraud prevention, security checks, or risk assessments related to the payment instrument are carried out directly by the third-party payment processor, not by BIU.

3. How Long Will BIU  Keep My Personal Information?

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, we typically will maintain a record for you.  The length of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and used it, requirements of applicable laws, the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the information, the resolution of any pending or threatened disputes, and enforcement of our agreements.

4. Does BIU  Share My Information with Third Parties?

BIU  does not sell personal information to outside parties for their commercial use.  However, we may share information with third-parties, including our service providers, partners, affiliates and associated companies, as follows:

We may share your personal information with such third-party service providers to allow them to perform the duties for which they have been retained, subject to confidentiality and use obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.  These service providers are used for things like: payment processing; marketing and analytics; research insights and user analytics.

Our Site may contain links to other websites.  We do not exercise control over third party websites.  When you click on a link to any other website or location, you will leave our Site and another entity may collect personal and/or non-personal information from you.  We have no control over, do not review, and are not responsible for these outside websites or their content.  The terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these outside websites or content, or to any collection of data after you click on links to such outside websites.

6. Children Data.

BIU’s services are generally not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 years of age and our Site and services are not intended for individuals under 13. If we become aware that we have processed personal data of a person under 13 years, we will delete any personal data of such person from our records.

7. Special Notice For Individuals Located In Europe.

BIU strives to take all reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality of your personal information including through contractual commitments by our trusted business partners. By voluntarily providing us with your personal information through our website(s) and applications (including mobile applications), you consent to and acknowledge that your personal information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to the United States, where data protection laws may provide less protection from those in Europe—and specifically, do not provide for an adequate level of data protection based on a European Commission decision.

BIU  considers essential the protection of personal data of the users of its Site and also the strict compliance with the rights and guarantees enshrined in the applicable US laws. BIU shall endeavor and shall take every precaution to maintain adequate physical, procedural and technical security with respect to our offices and information storage facilities so as to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of your Personal Information under our control.

BIU  takes its best efforts consistent with high quality industry standards to secure user's data in its possession. However, notwithstanding the foregoing, a loss of data can occur for reasons beyond the control of BIU . In such cases BIU  will not be responsible for data loss beyond its reasonable efforts to keep it safe.

10. Your Rights as to Personal Information: Accessing and Updating Information

If you have submitted Personal Information through our Site and would like that information deleted from our records, please contact us at [[email protected]]  and provide us with the requested information.  We will use reasonable efforts to delete this information from our existing files.

BIU reserves the right to modify or amend this Policy at any time.
